Complementary feed for horses
High-quality vital substances support heart function and stabilize circulation.
Application
EQUIPUR - corfit effectively compensates for feed-related deficiencies in vitamin E, selenium, carnitine, omega-3 fatty acids, and procyanidins, which are needed for optimal heart function and stable circulation. In combination with heart herbs, it sustainably improves the horse's physical resilience, performance, and well-being. This is especially true in the hot summer months for horses with heart disease or old horses (age-related heart disease)..

General findings of nutritional science
In cases of reduced heart function, a combination of highly effective cardioprotective substances can significantly improve the heart's pumping capacity and thus stabilize circulation.
Vitamin E and the procyanides from grape seed flour act as antioxidants, protecting cell membranes from destruction by abrasive harmful substances and thus maintaining the structural functionality and performance of the heart muscle even under extreme stress. In addition, vitamin E improves oxygen supply and utilization in the muscles, thereby significantly increasing the performance of the heart..
Along with vitamin E, selenium protects cell membranes from harmful oxygen compounds and is essential for the proper functioning of the heart muscle.
L-carnitine transports energy-rich fatty acids from the blood into the heart muscle cells. This improves their energy metabolism, which significantly optimizes the performance of the heart muscle.
Magnesium is responsible for the functioning of approximately 100 intracellular enzymes, mainly in striated muscle and cardiac muscle.
Lysine plays an important role as a buffer for lactic acid in the heart muscle.
Hawthorn and ginkgo improve blood circulation in the heart muscle.
Garlic lowers blood cholesterol levels, keeps blood vessels elastic, regulates blood pressure, and strengthens the body's defenses.
With its unsaturated fatty acids, flaxseed has a protective effect on the muscle fibers and vessels of the heart.
INFOBOX
The tired heart of the senior horse
Horses that are getting older can suffer from heart problems. This is manifested by reduced willingness to perform, circulatory problems or strong sensitivity to the weather, especially on hot days. One reason for this is that, as with us humans, the function of the heart deteriorates. Heart disease does not always have to be present. By listening to the heart sounds, the veterinarian can determine possible illness-related causes. If in doubt, only an ultrasound, a blood test or an EKG can provide certainty about the condition of the horse's heart. Since aging horses often have age-related kidney weakness, this possibility should also be considered. The first signs of heart or circulatory problems in horses include high breathing rates, a sudden drop in performance, pale to bluish mucous membranes in the mouth or noticeable accumulations of fluid (edema) on the chest and lower abdomen.
Hawthorn and ginkgo - heart herbs for horses
In addition to the cell-protecting vital substances vitamin E, carnitine, lysine and selenium, the healing active ingredients from hawthorn and ginkgo play an important role in supporting cardiac and circulatory function in horses.
