Complementary feed for horses
Magnesium stabilizes the nervous system in anxious and jumpy horses.
Application
EQUIPUR - magnovit compensates for feed-related magnesium and vitamin B12 deficiencies, which can lead to nervousness and overreactions to external stimuli, especially in anxious and jumpy horses. Stabilizing the nervous system leads to increased resilience, balance, and motivation.

Instructions for proper use
Horses (500 kg): 25 g per day
Foals, young horses and ponies: 12 g per day
given with the feed; depending on requirements, 2-4 times the amount can be given during the first 10 days.
Due to the increased content of zinc daily ration should not be more than quadrupled.
Feeding period
For maximum effectiveness, feeding should continue for at least 2-4 weeks. Feeding over a longer period is beneficial and improves results.
General findings of nutritional science
A combination of magnesium and vitamin B12, tailored to the horse's needs, has a peripheral and central relaxing effect on skittish, anxious, and unfocused horses. Stabilizing the nervous system increases the horse's willingness to perform and ability to learn; stressful situations such as transport, competitions, etc. can be coped with more easily.
Magnesium is an important mineral that is known to activate many enzymes in the energy metabolism of nerve and muscle cells. A magnesium deficiency causes the heart and skeletal muscles to lose their performance capacity. This leads to muscle weakness, muscle tremors, and ultimately to seizures. In the nerves and brain, magnesium deficiency leads to difficulty concentrating and nervousness, as the proper transmission of stimuli in the nervous system is no longer guaranteed. Particularly noteworthy is magnesium's protective function against the negative effects of stressful situations: by stabilizing cell membranes, it prevents overstimulation of nerve cells; in the blood, it counteracts the stress hormone adrenaline. There is a significant increase in magnesium requirements during lactation and growth, as it is also needed for bone development. Magnesium fumarate is very well absorbed and tolerated.
Vitamin B12 and Zinc are involved in enzymatic reactions in nerve tissue for the formation and maintenance of nerve cells. A deficiency leads to a reduction in the function and performance of the entire nervous system, which can result in sensory disturbances, increased reflexes, and uncoordinated movements.
INFOBOX
Startled horse - what to feed?
Magnesium and vitamin B12 play an essential role in the transmission of external stimuli, among other things. A magnesium deficiency not only impairs the energy and muscle metabolism (muscle tremors, muscle cramps), but also leads to increased nervousness and jumpiness in horses. Normally, the need for magnesium and vitamin B12 is sufficiently covered by the feed. However, physical exertion and stress can lead to an increased requirement.
