Application
EQUIPUR - amino effectively balances feeding deficiencies with the essential amino acids Lysine, methionine, and threonine as well as the dietary mineral calcium. This promotes the formation of musculature, bones and connective tissue in sport horses and foals and also increases the milk-yield of mares. Horses with PSSM2 also have a particularly higher demand for these three essential amino acids. The muscle atrophy of older or sick horses can be prevented or considerably delayed.

Foals, young horses and ponies: 25 g per day
Sport and breeding horses (500 kg): 50 g per day
given with the feed.
Feeding period
For maximum effectiveness, this product should be applied for a period of at least 6 weeks. Feeding for a longer period or the whole year round does not pose any problems and will be beneficial.

General findings of nutritional science
A well-balanced supply of the biologically valuable amino acids Lysine, methionine, and threonine as well as calcium, promotes, during early growth, the formation of musculature, bones and organs, increases milk-yield in mares and sperm quality in stallions, improves anabolic processes (formation of body substance, particularly the musculature) in sport horses, and supports the organism during recovery of protein deficiency damages. In older horses, it delays the process of deterioration of the endogenous protein synthesis. As conventional rations of oats and hay do not provide the proper supply of essential amino acids, the horse depends on an additional supply in order to prevent deficiency symptoms.
Lysine is the decisive amino acid to build up the musculature and preserve muscular mass during resting. As lysine is not found in most cereal feeds, an additional intake is extremely important.
Methionine as a sulphur-rich amino acid, is the most important source of organic sulphur compounds for the body. Additional to its role as a protein building block for the formation of tissues such as musculature or strong horny substance, it plays a vital role in cell metabolism, where deficiency not only induces loss of body substance but also causes liver damage and allergies, as well as delaying healing wounds.
Threonine promotes the formation of protein in the musculature and is thereby essentially involved in the build-up of muscle mass.
Calcium is important for the development, capacity and sturdiness of bones and teeth. The initial signs of a deficiency are stiffness and low-grade lameness.
