INFOBOX
Multitalented brewer's yeast for horses
Brewer's yeast was already being used as a nutrient-rich food supplement for horses in the last century. Back then, it was a pure waste product from the beer brewing process. Today, brewer's yeast as a nutritional supplement for horses is mainly produced industrially and therefore to a consistently high quality standard. Brewer's yeast contains a high proportion of essential amino acids and B vitamins. Brewer's yeast is particularly useful as a source of vital nutrients during periods of shedding (increased need for high-quality amino acids) or in the event of digestive problems. Horses are given between 50 and 150 grams a day.
