Complementary feed for horses
The complete basic supply for vitality and health in old age.
Application
EQUIPUR - senior provides older horses with a balanced supply of all vital nutrients in a biologically high-quality and fast-acting form. The composition, which is specifically tailored to the nutritional requirements of senior horses, not only optimally balances the increased need for micronutrients in old age, but also provides active ingredients to prevent nutrition-related health disorders in the digestive system or metabolism (metabolic syndrome, Cushing's syndrome, laminitis) and to compensate for age-related fluctuations in the physiological performance of the immune system, heart, muscles or joints.

General findings of nutritional science
As horses get older, the performance of the entire organism decreases. With the right feed, individually tailored to the needs of the older horse, the ageing process cannot be reversed, but it can be delayed.
Herbs such as garlic, hawthorn and ginkgo support the ageing heart and optimize the metabolism of the heart muscles.
Herbs like milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion and liquorice have a profound harmonizing effect on liver functions and promote bile production thanks to their regenerative active ingredients.
Herbs like monk‘s pepper, ginseng and cinnamon provide targeted support for metabolic problems such as metabolic syndrome, Cushing's syndrome or laminitis.
Devil‘s claw and glucosamine help to prevent joint degeneration and thus maintain mobility in old age.
Wheat bran and apple pomace are natural sources of high-quality fiber and have an appetizing effect.
Probiotics, prebiotics (MOS) and fermented cereals support digestion, protect the intestinal flora and activate the body's natural defenses
Linseed with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, essential amino acids and mucilage leads to a visible improvement in the nutritional supply of older horses.
Parsley and carrots are natural sources of vitamins and trace elements.
INFOBOX
Old horses well cared for!
As with us humans, the point at which the ageing process begins in horses varies greatly. With the first white prickly hairs on the forehead or the first signs of wear and tear on the joints, it becomes clear that the horse is getting on in years. It becomes increasingly difficult to keep the senior horse well muscled through the winter. Many show the first signs of lameness due to osteoarthritis and the change of coat takes much longer than it used to. As horses get older, their need for minerals, vitamins and trace elements increases significantly. Hay, pasture and grain feed no longer reliably cover these requirements. Added to this are age-related health problems such as Cushing's disease, circulatory problems or mild to moderate digestive disorders.
The right mineral feed for old horses
In addition to organically - and therefore highly available - bound trace elements and an adapted vitamin complex, it is primarily the active ingredients from special herbs that should not be missing in a mineral feed for seniors. They influence the liver and kidney metabolism, strengthen the heart muscles, harmonize the digestive tract and have a stimulating effect on the hormone balance. EQUIPUR-senior is a highly bioavailable complex of vital substances optimized for old horses. In addition to balancing out the increased need for minerals and trace elements, age-related deficiency symptoms and the resulting impairments are gently compensated for.
