Complementary feed for horses
Muscle activators such as L-carnitine increase performance and improve endurance.
Application
EQUIPUR - racepower with L-carnitine brings about a comprehensive and long-term increase in the horse's performance potential. The activation of the muscle metabolism leads to an increase in energy production as well as an optimal build-up and protection of the muscle fibers. The accelerated breakdown of lactic acid and improved blood formation help to shorten the regeneration phase. This enables the horse to perform at its best in the long term.

Composition
Soybean protein concentrate, fermented cereals, yeast extract (MOS), banana flour, magnesium fumarate, brewer’s yeast, flaxseed meal, corn starch.
Instructions for proper use
Sport horses (500 kg): 100 g per day
Sport ponies: 70 g per day
given with the feed.
If necessary, 1.5 times the ration can be fed for the last 3 days before a start and on the start day.
Due to the increased content of trace elements daily ration should not be more than doubled.
Feeding period
For maximum effectiveness, application should last during the whole racing or show season; at the least, begin 10 days prior to the first start.
General findings of nutritional science
L-Carnitine serves as a transport system for fats within the body's cells. Only fatty acids bound to carnitine are used for energy production, whereby the heart can cover 80% and the skeletal muscles 50% of their energy requirements by burning fatty acids. The additional supply of carnitine provides the muscle cells with another highly potent source of energy, especially in the finish. The likewise improved performance of the heart muscles results in increased energy and oxygen transport in the blood, which significantly increases endurance performance.
Lysine and soybean protein concentrate promote the development and maintenance of muscles and improve energy metabolism.
Vitamin E and selenium protect the heart and skeletal muscles under high stress, improve the oxygen supply and thus significantly increase the performance of the muscle fibers.
Flaxseed reduces with its unsaturated fatty acids inflammatory activity in the body.
Starch provides energy for muscle work and is used to replenish glycogen stores.
Banana flour made from ripe bananas is characterized by a high proportion of readily available starches and electrolytes.
Probiotics, prebiotics (MOS) and fermented grains boost the body's immune system and promote performance.
Calcium and magnesium are important minerals that are primarily required for energy metabolism and the transmission of stimuli in nerve and muscle cells.
INFOBOX
Carnitine to optimize performance in horses
L-carnitine is a vitamin-like substance and plays an essential role in energy metabolism. The horse's organism produces this compound itself from the amino acids lysine and methionine. A deficiency of these two amino acids therefore also affects the horse's willingness to perform. Sport horses have an increased need for L-carnitine. It ensures that sufficient energy can be transported into the cells by activating and transporting the long-chain fatty acids provided for energy production. An additional side effect is that carnitine transports the waste products produced by exertion out of the muscle cells, thus preventing performance-inhibiting accumulations in the muscle tissue.
