Single feed for horses
Ready-to-feed flax seeds with healthy fats and natural mucilage.
Application
EQUIPUR - leinplus has a positive effect on digestion, skin and coat thanks to its wide range of dietary effects. This effect is particularly enhanced by the high content of omega-3 fatty acids. The full content of essential amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, minerals and vitamins is retained by manufacturing in a gentle special process.

General findings of nutritional science
Flaxseed has a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids, essential amino acids, mucins and vitamin E.
Unsaturated, essential fatty acids are not only the starting substance for a large number of vital tissue hormones, they are also an indispensable component in the formation of cell membranes. As the intestinal mucosa has to renew itself very quickly (in the small intestine, the entire mucosa is replaced approximately every 3 days!), an undersupply of essential fatty acids leads to significantly slower regeneration and corresponding damage to the mucosa. This results in impaired feed conversion and nutrient absorption as well as an increased susceptibility to intestinal diseases such as colic or diarrhea. The same applies, of course, to other rapidly dividing tissues such as the skin and hair. Here, the essential fatty acids reduce susceptibility to inflammation and allergic reactions, increase the suppleness and resistance of the skin and hair and accelerate the healing of pathological changes.
The high-quality protein in flaxseed contains essential amino acids such as lysine, methionine and cystine. While lysine is used to build up the body's own substances, methionine and cystine have a significant influence on the condition of the skin and coat.
The mucilage in flaxseed coats the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract with a thin protective and lubricating layer. In addition, flaxseed mucilage can bind large amounts of fluid due to its good swelling capacity, which gives it a regulating effect in cases of both diarrhea and constipation.
INFOBOX
Feeding linseed to horses
A shiny coat, optimal digestion and high-quality vital substances characterize linseed as a popular additive in horse feed. The high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids is particularly noteworthy. Linseed is one of the oils with the highest proportion of omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid). According to scientific studies, these fatty acids are able to maneuver inflammation-promoting arachidonic acids out of the metabolic pathways (joints and skin). They also appear to support zinc regulation. In addition to omega-3 fatty acids, the seeds contain a considerable amount of high-quality essential amino acids (approx. 12%), vitamins and trace elements.
Ground linseed supports the horse's digestion
The husk of the linseed contains high-quality mucilage. In combination with the other active ingredients, these ensure optimum protection of the mucous membranes in the stomach and intestines and thus also prevent possible irritation.
