Complementary feed for dogs
CANIPUR - barf is a basic supply rich in vital substances for balanced raw feeding.
Application
CANIPUR - barf offers a comprehensive and balanced supply for dogs that are fed raw feed (barf). Due to its very high-quality composition, it safely compensates for the possibility of malnutrition or gastro-intestinal problems when barfing and thus creates the conditions for good physical development, an attractive appearance, readiness for action and well-being.

Herbal mixture (milk thistle, stinging nettle, artichoke, dandelion, liquorice, icelandic lichen, birch, fennel, aniseed, caraway), apple pomace, calcium carbonate, linseed, bananas, carrots, lovage, parsley, gelatine, devil's claw, ginger, ground seaweed, grape seed flour, magnesium oxide, methyl sulphonyl methane (MSM).
Instructions for proper use
Small dogs(4-15 kg): 5-20 g per day
Medium dogs(16-39 kg): 20-40 g per day
Large dogs(40-80 kg): 40-80 g per day

For maximum effectiveness, the product should be applied over an extended period. Feeding for a longer period or the whole year round does not pose any problems and will be beneficial.
General findings of nutritional science
Innards have a high content of essential fatty acids as well as natural minerals and trace elements. Linseed is an ideal substitute because of its high-quality omega-3 fatty acids and seaweed meal with a high proportion of natural and easily digestible minerals and trace elements.
Skin and coat supply the organism with organic sulphur among other things. This is contained in MSM in a natural and bioavailable form.
Cartilage with its high-quality amino acids for the development of joints and tendons can be adequately replaced by gelatine.
Bones provide the dog with minerals that ensure the resilience and strength of the musculoskeletal system. Calcium in particular must therefore be specifically supplemented.
Stomach and intestinal contents in their pre-digested form are a reliable source of vital substances, which must be added in the right proportions as vitamins, minerals and trace elements. It also contains fiber for a smooth and even digestive process, which is also contained in apple pomace.
Wild herbs support the metabolism (milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion, licorice) and the digestive process (fennel, aniseed, caraway, lovage, nettle, birch, Iceland moss). They also strengthen the musculoskeletal system (ginger, devil's claw).
Wild vegetables serve as a healthy source of vitamins and crude fiber. These include parsley with its natural vitamin C and carrots with their high beta-carotene content.
Fruits such as bananas provide necessary minerals and easily digestible energy.
Berries contain procyanides in their skin, which are highly effective antioxidants that strengthen the immune system and protect the muscles. This is particularly true of grape seed flour.
INFOBOX
A supply of minerals is important with BARF
The term "BARF", which originally came from the English language, now stands for "Bones And Raw Foods". The German term for the abbreviation "BARF" is " Biologically appropriate raw food" or, to put it simply, "raw feeding". This is based on the eating habits of wild dogs and wolves, which eat almost all parts of their prey in a raw state. In addition to the meat, this includes the offal, the digestive tract with its fermented contents, the skin, bones and cartilage. Wild vegetables, fruit and herbs are also frequently consumed.
When implementing raw feeding in everyday life, it is not always easy to put together a ration that covers the dog's needs. Here, too, it is important to consistently prevent deficiency symptoms and avoid gastrointestinal problems such as constipation or diarrhea.
The common rule of thumb of a barf ration of three quarters raw meat and one quarter fruit and vegetables shows gaps, especially in the "non-meat components" of prey animals, such as offal, skin and subcutaneous tissue, bones and cartilage, stomach and intestinal contents and the wide variety of wild plants. However, their ingredients are a decisive factor for healthy and successful raw feeding. If these "non-meat components" of prey animals are not available in the daily barf ration, a versatile and safe substitute must be created elsewhere.
