General findings of nutritional science
Especially in the summer months, the well-being and health of horses can be severely affected by insects (black flies, horse flies, horse flies). Therefore, special emphasis should be placed on repelling insects and increasing the body's natural resistance to allergic reactions in susceptible horses (especially those with summer eczema).
Garlic promotes the resistance of the entire organism. The vaporization of essential garlic oils and anti-allergic ingredients through the skin is extremely effective in reducing the annoyance of stinging insects to horses.
Wild garlic also contains essential oils and enhances the insect-repellent effect of garlic.
Herbs relieve the skin by stimulating the detoxifying and blood-purifying function of the liver and kidneys.
Linseed has a positive effect on digestion and skin metabolism.
B vitamins potentiate the insect-repellent effect of essential oils in high doses.
