Application
EQUIPUR - vit B12 provides the horse with a high-dose and effective supply of vitamin B12, which plays a decisive role in performance, cell metabolism and the function of nerve cells. Furthermore, vitamin B12 intervenes in cell growth, promotes the development of red blood cells and stimulates appetite. Vitamins B1, B2 and B6 have a supporting effect here.

General findings of nutritional science
Vitamin B12 is involved in enzymatic reactions in nerve tissue for the formation and maintenance of nerve cells. A deficiency results in a reduction in the function and performance of the entire nervous system, which can lead to sensory disturbances, increased reflexes and uncoordinated movement sequences. Vitamin B12 also influences protein metabolism and growth, promotes the development of red blood cells and stimulates the appetite. This can lead to changes in the blood count of young horses, which can manifest themselves in the form of reduced growth, debilitation and fatty liver degeneration.
In adult horses, it takes longer for deficiency symptoms such as anemia, coarse coat, poor fertility, loss of appetite and performance depression to appear. It is therefore very important in the case of anemia, metabolic disorders, loss of appetite, performance depression and to support iron therapy to compensate for the resulting increased need for vitamin B12.
Dextrose is an energy-rich carrier that serves to quickly compensate for any deficits in the energy balance
Corn starch produces a steady stream of energy that is used to work muscles or replenish glycogen stores.
